Passion, experience and a love for what we do, established in 2005 by Gwen, Scissor Sisters Hair & Beauty has grown from a dream into a salon built on experience, dedication and a genuine love for hairdressing. Lauren joined the team in 2006, and following three years of success, Gwen was able to purchase the salon premises and transform the space into the beautiful, welcoming salon it is today.
With over 50 years of hairdressing experience between us, we’ve grown together, continued to develop our skills and remained passionate about doing what we love most. We believe that great hairdressing is about much more than creating beautiful hair — it’s about listening to our clients, understanding their needs and helping them feel confident and fabulous.
Our passion for learning will never stand still. We believe there is always something new to discover, whether it’s the latest techniques, colour trends or ways to give our clients the very best results. The day we lose our passion for knowledge will be the day we put down our tools!
One of the things we love most about Scissor Sisters is our relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We’re incredibly lucky to have such wonderful, loyal clients who have supported us throughout the years and continue to make us love coming to work. For us, it’s about building relationships, having a good chat and making every visit an enjoyable experience.
Alongside our hair services, we also offer beauty treatments, helping our clients feel pampered from head to toe. We’re also delighted to offer Retouch by Magda, providing a range of aesthetic treatments for those looking to enhance their natural beauty.
After all these years, our passion remains the same: to make our clients look and feel their very best, in a salon where everyone feels welcome.
